Color Match DOES NOT WORK!!

Beware! Color match gave me the COMPLETELY wrong color when I needed to get some Behr paint that I had run out of to touch up some spots in my living room. Ended up finding the right color in my garage after all, but the color this app "matched" could not have been more off! Wasted $$$!!

Very dysfunctional app

Cant add more than one color to project folder. Can only choose from palettes the app presents once you choose a color. Should be able to bring any color from Behr swatches that I want. If I cant import a picture of my own room at least give options to further refine the canned options. Like insert picture frame panels, wainscoating with wide trim, etc.

Home owner

Very disappointed I am not able to use my photo to see the color on my wall, I would not recommend

Too static, not helpful

If this app were honest, it would say the only thing it does is suggest color palettes based on a color you select. This app DOES NOT let the user pick a color for the floor and the wall. You can only use colors in the provided color palette. And I have not figured out how to include my own room image. This is not what I was hoping to use. I need an app that allows more user control. The palettes are interesting, but not what I wanted.

Doesnt have all colors and no pict upload

Picked up a color card from the store (Silverstone), but even though it is a Behr card, its not in the app. Even tried the color code, no dice. Many apps like this will allow you to upload your own photo... Not here. Just generic images of someone elses digital home. Waste of time.

Terrible

I picked up some paint samples from Home Depot and plugged the numbers into this app. The samples are tans but when plugging them into this app, they show up as gray. Horrible. Plus there is no capability to take a photo of my room and test the color on that.

Okay, but lacking some basic features

Its nice to be able to use the color grid to select a color and then you can make adjustments from there. But once you have selected a color, it should let you move from that color to lighter or darker, or cooler or warmer, colors directly from that colors page. It seems the only way to look at similar colors is to actually go back to the color grid, at which point youve lost track of what color you were looking at in the first place. You should also be able to select a color on the palettes they offer and then go to that colors page as an independent color. If youre looking at the palette, there is no way to save just one color from there as a favorite. Youd have to note the color name, go back to explore, and type it in to get to it. The room examples that they have are all very busy, with lots of furniture and accessories, and you cannot change the color on anything but the walls. You cannot change the couch color to look more like yours, or the curtains, for instance, or even the trim, which is silly. It also doesnt seem to save favorites from one device to the next. One note about the color match: you may get a different color depending on which part of the photograph you select (which makes sense nothing is truly just "one color" in a photo, there are always shades and gradients). Those who are trying to use it to get an exact match may need to try a couple of different spots. And then of course, the fact is that what appears on the device screen is not exactly the same thing you are going to see in real life.

Ok, could be better

This gives you an idea of what a color will look like but would be much better if you could use your own pictures.

Doesnt support all Behr colors

I was hoping to find coordinating colors for a Behr paint I purchased two months ago. The app doesnt have the color. Disappointed.

Helpful but far from great

Giving four stars for novelty. I found this app helpful in choosing colors for my house-- however, the colors in the app are different from from actual Behr paint samples and the Behr color cards found at Home Depot. I purchased 5 paint samples at around 3 bucks each which saved me a lot of money overall. Advice--pick 3-5 colors, save to favorites, preview them on the app, and take a screen cap of each room. Go to Home Depot (or other) and find the color card for each color; they are organized by number on the Behr wall. Compare your screen caps with the color cards. Again, I found that the colors I picked on the app were much different, so I found new colors that matched the ones on my screen and ultimately bought those samples and took them home. I painted 6"x6" panels in the darkest part of the room and also under a window and ultimately found a color I liked. Hope this helps!

Need to see it on MY house

This is great to preview colors together but on very few select home styles (exteriors). Would be amazing--literally best app out there--IF you could actually test the colors out on your own home (exteriors). I want to take a photo and replace colors with my selections. Then I would rate this app 5 stars. Its just not great for me to see my palette selection together.

Huge help in making the right choice!

With so many great colors to choose from, this app really helped us narrow down the color choices. We were able to get a few samples from The Home Depot and chose the perfect marquee color for our new nursery. 5/5 Would recommend!

Its okay

I would give it five stars, but you cant import your own pictures to showcase different colors unlike the site.

Color Smart app by Behr

I am using it to see the different colors in s marble slab that will be used for a bathroom countertop and a porcelain tile that will be used for floors and shower. Goal is to see if there some same colors in both that could be a guide for wall paint color. I did find a couple and then will get the paint swatches at Home Depot and take advantage of a paint sale this weekend. I did read the reviews about some colors shown on app not being true to swatches but since this is a bathroom renovation the exactness doesnt really matter since I will be making final selection after I see the swatches. But I consider this app a time saver.

Colors arent right!

I took a picture of my wall - all the same color - and depending on where I touched it, the app came back with 4 possible colors. None of them really match... I was trying to find a color to coordinate with what I already have and cant get there. Back to paint samples from the store...

Awful

There isnt a way to preview the colors in an uploaded photo. Why would I want to see colors in someone elses room. Waste of time!

Not a fan

Works great if you use there photos try to use your own, good luck.

Its free

Since its free, install it on your device, pick a color you like, and then go down to HD and look at a chip of that color you think will make life better. Barely in the same color family. What good are all those visualization features when you cant get close to the actual color? Youll probably delete the app after you see how far off it renders the colors.

Learned The Hard Way.....

Ive played with the app for about a year, until we got around to actually needing to paint our master bedroom. I failed to reconsider reading these reviews first and so we went to Home Depot to match the colors we chose with the actual paints. I chose the chips based on the codes from the recommended combo colors. The paint department associate mixed the colors and told us some would dry lighter; others darker. Well, the "Natural Twine" chip on this app, actually looks liked someone yakked up bile on our walls. And it didnt dry lighter; it dried darker. I returned to the local Home Depot last evening and asked the paint department associate working then, about the marked difference in colors. He told me that he tells customers all the time, to forget about the codes this app associates with the colors and take the picture of the combos to the chips against the wall and pick the colors you want. And forget about Behrs computer in the display; same problem. I would love to have Behr come over and repaint the room, but lesson learned. Trust, but verify.

Colors way off from chips

Maybe its my iPad, but the colors are WAY off. Not even close enough to get a "feel" for the colors.
